Position Overview:

Pollocks School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher to spark curiosity and inspire a love for science in our students. This role provides an exciting opportunity to nurture critical thinking, foster inquiry-based learning, and prepare students to explore the wonders of the natural and physical world.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging science lessons in line with the school curriculum.
Conduct hands-on experiments and demonstrations to bring scientific concepts to life.
Encourage inquiry-based learning and critical thinking skills.
Evaluate and track student progress through regular assessments and feedback.
Maintain a safe and organized science laboratory environment.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary teaching approaches.
Participate in school activities, workshops, and professional development sessions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or Education with a focus on Science (teaching certifications preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Science, preferably at the school level.
Strong understanding of scientific concepts across biology, chemistry, and physics.
Proficiency in conducting experiments and using lab equipment safely.
Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
